Major services delivered include:
Ongoing policy & process review, general training on self-employment topics for both participants and professionals, business plan development courses, individualized technical assistance for pre-venture counseling & business operations, benefits planning consultation, coordination and staffing of business plan review and approval process, and long-term participant monitoring. Program staff work closely with private, State, and Federal agencies to leverage and coordinate resources and supports.
This professional will have the leadership role in:
- Pre-venture counseling for consumers, family, and staff,
- Facilitating development of participant business plans,
- Follow-on technical assistance,
- Self-employment training, and
- General marketing activities.

| Req. candidate profile : |
Requirements:
Degree in business, public administration, economic development, or related field. Experience working with low-income populations / people with disabilities. Experience delivering training programs is highly desired. Business operations, business planning, and individual counseling and communications skills required. Program offices are located near BWI Airport. This position is one of statewide responsibility, and requires regular travel throughout Maryland.
