The Women Presidents' Organization mission is to improve business conditions for women entrepreneurs and promote the acceptance and advancement of women entrepreneurs in all industries.
The Women Presidents’ Educational Organization (WPEO) is the local affiliate for WBENC (Women’s Business Enterprise National Council), providing third party certification and educational programs for Women’s Business Enterprises
Event Coordinator to plan and produce special events and programs for both WPO and WPEO including an annual conference with approximately 600 attendees, educational seminars, breakfasts, webcasts, receptions and other special events.
Duties include:
Planning and executing all logistical aspects of events
Handling all communication required to secure speakers and collect information from presenters and participants
Reviewing and negotiating vendor contracts
Managing vendors, suppliers and hotels
Managing event marketing
Coordinating event planning committees including both the WPEO steering committee and the WPO Conference planning committee
Handling post event communication and follow-up
Developing invitations, agendas and event programs
Req. candidate profile :
Additional Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required
Previous event planning experience required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Extremely organized and detail oriented
Some evening and weekend work required during events
Computer and Internet savvy. Proficient in Office Suite
Must have good follow through skills
An ideal candidate must possess the organizational ability to independently manage multiple projects simultaneously
