| Job duties: |
QUALIFICATIONS:
· 5+ Years experience working with financial systems, preferably
group insurance administration and/or claims
· 5+ Years hands on experience with Visual Studio.NET, ASP.NET,
VB.NET, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Microsoft SQLServer 2000 (2005
experience useful) , using InterOp for accessing VB6 COM components.
VB6, DCOM, COM+, MTS knowledge beneficial.
· Experience in Development, Maintenance, testing and documentation
of object oriented distributed web-systems
· Post-secondary education in systems development or related experience
· Excellent communication, organization and time management skills
· Proven ability to work in a team environment, and under pressure of
multiple project deadlines
· Previous insurance knowledge of Group Life and Health systems and
products is a definite asset.
· Knowledge of issues encountered with large scale multi-tier,
multi-user environments, and how to avoid them
· Degree in Systems Development, and work experience (5+ years
recommended). 10+ years relevant work experience without degree.
· Good knowledge of Group Insurance preferred (5+ years recommended),
or financial services background (7+ years recommended)
· Good interpersonal skills to work with Technical Services team, as
well as Systems Programmers and BAs and BSAs, as well as business
partners (will interact with many different levels of the company)
