Achieve, Inc., an education non-profit, seeks an executive assistant to the Vice President of Content and Policy. Duties will include, but are not limited to, coordinating the VP’s calendar, making travel arrangements, preparing budgets, scheduling and assisting with meeting, conference calls and events and routing correspondences. Applicants must proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint. Candidates must be able to multi-task, work in a team-oriented environment and have excellent communication skills. Knowledge of the education policy arena a plus.
General Administrative:
- Maintain the VP’s calendar, as well as any project or group calendars for the unit.
- Provide general administrative support, including mailings, faxing, copying, preparing documents, small scale research projects, creating PowerPoint presentations and other necessary administrative tasks.
- Handle telephone calls for the VP, including taking accurate and detailed telephone messages.
- Maintain files in a neat and orderly manner.
- Maintain regular communications between the VP and other staff members, as well as external consultants, colleagues and state partners.
Event Planning:
- Plan and coordinate logistical arrangements for meetings, briefings, institutes, presentations, speaking engagements, etc.
- Develop and manage meeting budgets.
- Prepare agendas and other meeting materials.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, including arranging travel, booking hotel/meeting space and provide relevant information to the attendees.

Qualifications:
- BA Degree with minimum 2 yr work experience.
- Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint a must.
- Ability to manage a number of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented work style.
- Knowledge of the education policy a plus.
