The Central Park Conservancy is seeking a Manager of Business Development. The overall goal of this position is to identify and implement new revenue-generating business opportunities that are consistent with the organization’s mission.
Position Responsibilities:
Help develop an overall revenue-generating strategy from ideation through execution, which will drive the Business Development effort.
Determine a standardized evaluation and prioritization framework. For each potential new business opportunity, perform necessary due diligence to determine project feasibility.
Evaluations will include:
Identifying potential market segments
Conducting competitive analysis
Preparing an operations plan for evaluation
Developing revenue projections
Present the business case for new opportunities.
Manage the initial implementation of any new business project deemed worthy of further testing in Central Park.
This will include:
Identifying various revenue-generating sources and partnership opportunities on an ongoing basis
Sourcing deals and initiating conversations with high-potential leads
Managing the deal process from first contact to closing
Serving as liaison on an ongoing basis
Responding appropriately to information requests
Establish relationships with strategic business partners, including the City of New York Department of Parks & Recreation, to ensure the quality of any new venture.
Organize and lead cross-departmental efforts.
Assist with the marketing and publicity efforts for all new business initiatives.
Submit periodic business development and performance activity reports.
Lead multiple deals concurrently.
Req. candidate profile :
Additional Qualifications:
BA Degree in a business related discipline.
Proven track record in Business Development, sales, or equivalent.
Demonstrated ability to close deals.
Ability to work with minimal direction.
Strong analytical & Project Management skills.
Knowledge of business & financial analysis models.
Excellent writing and verbal communication skills; Strong negotiator with superior presentation skills.
