The Arab American Institute was founded in 1985 to provide leadership training in civic life and public service and advocacy on issues of concern to Arab Americans. AAI serves as the nation's leading resource on Arab American involvement in politics and government through ongoing policy work, public opinion research and grassroots organizing activities. The AAI Foundation was formed in 1995 to expand the non-electoral programs of the organization, including demographic research, youth services and educational outreach.
Busy Washington, DC-based nonprofit is seeking a candidate who will be responsible for all desktop publishing, production and website management.
Job duties:
Web/Publications Manager will develop, edit and have oversight of website updates, design and interactivity. Additionally candidate will develop, design and supervise production of publications including serving as managing editor of the newsletter. Some copy writing and editing of materials to support the national and localprograms of the organization is required.
Req. candidate profile :
Candidate will serve as principal staff liaison with outside consultants. Professional requirements include proficiency in Dreamweaver and Fireworks3; PageMaker, Adobe Photoshop or Corel Photopaint; MAC and PC experience; HTML and Java desirable. Strong communication, editing, organizational and graphic design experience.
