MG’s director of sales and marketing develops sales opportunities with our growing account base, and helps oversee the development of product for our major accounts and for our own seasonal collections. He or she should be creative and excited about the opportunity to enhance and develop our sales and marketing program as the organization grows.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee MG’s sales program:
Including developing sales opportunities and maintaining relationships with MG’s wholesale, distributor, and private label clients.
Secure orders from clients and keep them abreast of order developments.
Secure product development need details from clients and ensure these needs are met in MG’s quarterly product development cycle.
Oversee MG’s quarterly product development cycle:
Work with designers on a quarterly basis to develop new collections for MG’s private label clients and for the organization’s core product line.
Oversees sourcing of raw materials, insofar as those materials cannot be sourced in Latin America by our production staff.
Continue to develop and update MG’s marketing and sales strategies:
Creates yearly sales projections.
Identifies and pursues connections with target accounts and clients. MG’s executive director and board members help establish these connections.
Conducts profitability analysis with MG’s director of finance. Examines margin, inventory, and sales volume to optimize product mix and sales volume.
Oversee online marketing and e-commerce strategies, including assisting in the development of media and customer outreach strategies and materials.
Oversee the development of marketing and promotional material by MG’s graphic designers.

REQUIRED
Undergraduate degree
Experience working in sales, marketing or some aspect of the fashion industry.
Merchandising eye.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong entrepreneurial, organizational and analytical abilities.
Enthusiasm for Mercado Global’s mission and products.
Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint proficiency.
