Job description: A company in Central-North Carolina is currently searching for an experienced individual for the role of Sr. Material Planner. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the top Fortune 500 Companies in the Nation. The qualified applicant would be responsible for all materials planning duties for assigned products, including the coordination, scheduling, analyzing and planning of Factory Commit Dates
Job duties: This includes all applicable materials actions beginning with initial scheduling of manufacturing processes and continuing until shipment. Work on problems of a diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Analyzes, initiates, plans and implements all Materials related actions to achieve company billings, Inventory and On Time Delivery objectives for assigned parts. Analyzes Materials Requirements Planning data to determine manufacturing and material requirements, then creates Production/Purchase orders for internal or external services. Follows up and expedites materials as needed to meet customer requirements. Analyzes and updates open orders as necessary to insure data accuracy of MRP. Responsible for analyzing previous past due orders, finding the reasons why, and recommending actions required to reduce or eliminate them.
Req. candidate profile : Minimum of 5-7 years prior experience and BS degree in a business related field of study required or equivalent course of study in an accredited college or university. MS preferred. APICS Certification CPIM, CIRM preferred. High level of interpersonal skills, detail oriented, quality conscious, able to work efficiently on various assignments.
