The Climate Change Specialist (CCS) will assist in the development and implementation of our educational, carbon reduction and offset programs for individuals and businesses. The CCS will join the outreach team, providing support for quantifying carbon footprints for businesses, events, products and other needs. CCS will help to define and refine calculators and other tools to assist in marketing carbon offsets to businesses and other clients. CCS will also assist with fulfillment tasks, account management and will work directly with businesses in helping assess their needs, providing support and customer service, and developing partnership programs.
The position will have considerable overlap, require a team approach to solving problems and accomplishing tasks and will provide an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate to gain valuable experience in the emerging climate change sector. The position is also an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with involvement in all aspects of a non-profit environmental organization.
Req. candidate profile :
Requirements:
Bachelors degree with background in climate change and/or environmental studies and/or environmental engineering
Excellent quantitative skills
Excellent organizational skills
Good writing and communication skills
MS Office required including facility in the use of spreadsheets
Ability to do research
Knowledge of climate change
Must be a team player to react to the needs of an ever-changing organization
Sense of humor, positive personality and ability to get along with people internally and externally a big plus
