Job description: Asyst Technologies, Inc. is a leading provider of integrated automation solutions that enable semiconductor and flat panel display (FPD) manufacturers to increase their manufacturing productivity and protect their investment in materials during the manufacturing process.

  • Works directly with customers as Program Manager for major customer accounts consisting of semiconductor factories and Original Equipment Manufacturers.
  • Interfaces between customers and Sales, Product Line Management, Engineering, Operations and Customer Support organizations.
  • Develops and implements customer specific plans and schedules for introduction and deployment of new products, firmware releases, and integrated solutions.
  • Develops installation and upgrade plans, schedules, risk tables, mitigation plans.
  • Initiates and facilitates internal and external meetings to resolve customer issues.
  • Participates in Product Lifecycle Teams for product development and release.
  • Collects, tracks and reports on action items associated with their customer and work with the various teams to effectively close these actions on time.
Req. candidate profile :
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 5 years professional experience working in a "technical field" at least 6 years experience in high-technology product and program management.
  • Experience in program management of complex, high-technology products consisting of complex integrations of hardware and software tools, process equipment front-end modules, automated material handling systems (AMHSs), and Fab manufacturing execution systems (MESs) preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills required.
  • Proven ability to lead, coordinate, manage, and influence cross-functional teams, where team members are not direct reports.
  • Good customer management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize conflicting demands and requirements.
  • Ability to proactively plan responses to customer issues and concerns.
  • High aptitude in learning and fully exploiting web-based collaboration tools for effective program management.
  • Candidates with skills in speaking and reading Chinese required.
  • Travel to Asia 25% to 33% of the time required.
