Job description
Job description: The LEED for Homes Program Manager will collaborate with USGBC staff to develop and refine the related LEED for Homes programmatic services, including educational offerings, marketing materials, an online presence, and appropriate content and channels for communication with industry stakeholders. This position will work with technical committees, staff and contractors to engage industry stakeholders and experts including local and national homebuilding organizations in developing technical assessment criteria and procedures through a consensus-based process.

Specific Responsibilities Include:
  • Serve as the main contact (both internally and externally) for information concerning LEED for Homes
  • Provide comprehensive support to LEED for Homes staff members and LEED for Homes Committee and Providers.

Handle several duties for the Affordable Housing Initiative including:
  • Develop agenda and plan workshops for Greenbuild
  • Support and oversee grant deliverables

Coordinate LEED for Homes needs with other USGBC staff and committees including:
  • Marketing / communications
  • Education
  • IT
  • Greenbuild planning
  • Deliver proactive account management for the LEED for Homes Providers
  • Assist with planning and tracking of LEED for Homes Business Plan and budget
Req. candidate profile : Qualifications/Skills:
  • Minimum 4 years program development and management experience including work plan and budget preparation
  • Four-year technical (architecture, engineering, construction), management, or business undergraduate degree, preferably with a Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Relevant homebuilding and/or environmental management experience
  • Financial management, procurement, and grant administration experience
  • Effective written and interpersonal communications skills
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills and team leadership experience
  • Bachelors degree in relevant technical or management discipline; Masters preferred
  • Familiarity with LEED for Homes and other voluntary green homebuilding programs
  • Experience in rapidly changing organization; ability to understand and manage change; ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment.
