Reporting to the Vice President of Concert Halls and Operations, this position is responsible for ensuring fully coordinated performance operations for Lincoln Center including: oversight of Avery Fisher Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Kaplan Penthouse, Public Spaces and Special Events.
Specific Responsibilities include:
- Direct all operations, physical, performance and fiscal aspects of Concert Halls, Kaplan Penthouse and Public Spaces and manage the Concert Hall Department of approximately 40 administrative and 100 union-represented staff.
- Support marketing and strategic outreach efforts to maximize hall and public space utilization, ensuring coordinated performance operations.
- Assist and provide recommendations for management of an annual combined operating budget of approximately $33 million.
- Support and direct full coordination of Lincoln Center Operations with all constituent organizations and city agencies.
- Participate in all production phases of Lincoln Center Redevelopment efforts in the 65th Street and Promenade projects and provide critical coordination with all campus-wide performance activities.
- Serve as a liaison with management of resident constituent organizations, providing leaderships and direction for campus-wide performance and event operations and to ensure that the delivery of Concert Hall operations meet the needs and standards of Lincoln Center. Participate on the General Services Committee, comprised of building services representatives from constituent organizations.
- Participate in multiple union labor negotiations and supervise concession vendor operations.
- Continue to develop a service-oriented approach in which the needs of the Lincoln Center community are addressed in a responsive, timely and thorough manner.
- Develop, familiarize and implement both short and long term plans for operating procedures, training programs and updating equipment in order to minimize operating costs and maximize operative efficiencies for Lincoln Center.
- Propose and support preparation of annual budges in Concert Halls and engage in planning and management of capital renovation projects.
- Work with various City agencies (Parks, Cultural Affairs, Budget, City Hall, Borough President and City Council, etc.) to provide and fund services and Lincoln Center, obtaining funding for capital repairs and improvements.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with federal, state and local laws relating to safety issues including the use of hazardous chemicals and materials and participate on Lincoln Center, Inc.’s Safety Committee. Coordinate appropriate safety policies and procedures.

Additional Qualifications:
- 10+ years of administrative experience in theater production and management that demonstrates solid knowledge, management skills and abilities necessary for directing operations of a large and complex facility.
- Familiarity with current federal, state and local laws and regulations relating to safety issues including hazardous chemicals and materials.
- Experience in preparation and management of numerous budgets.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and experience managing personnel and unions.
- Ability to handle multiple and shifting priorities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, a service oriented appropriate to facilities management and strong negotiation skills in vendor relationships.
- Experience within a large non-profit, performing arts or university campus setting.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
