The Product Marketing Analyst is responsible for the profitable growth of a single product line consisting of standard, well-established mature products with current or anticipated sales potential of less than $75M. Coordinate the customer proposal process; assist in implementing the promotional plan and coordinate preparation of contract terms and conditions. Management role who leads business development activities with new markets, targets prospective buyers in current accounts and participates in the sales and
customer relationship management process by providing technical expertise to meet assigned revenue and non-sales objectives. Recommends future product development trends on local, regional, national or worldwide basis. Supports the sales force through joint sales calls. Coordinates pre-sales meetings to review proposed plans and identify customer necessary resources. Assists and/or conducts sales presentations/meetings. Interacts with customers and functional
organizations to develop specifications. Develops new and assists in the expansion of existing client relationships by coordinating business development activities, proactively reviewing customer?s current and changing needs, and
promoting Andrew products, solutions and services.

| Job duties: |
Manages product line direction through ongoing assessment of current products, pricing, and position. Ensures all goals and objectives are met by continually monitoring and reporting on trends, financial changes and other problem areas.
Monitors profit and loss (P&L), evaluating, recommending and initiating cost reductions, discount analyses and inventory levels. Develops and evaluates opportunities for new products and / or line extensions. Identifies new target
markets and related strategies.
Through close contact with target market and customers, responsible for new product visioning and idea generation. Attends trade shows, reviews market /trade publications and interfaces with sales workforce.
Under limited supervision, responsible for coordinating the customer proposal process, including managing the completion of critical proposal milestones. In conjunction with engineering and other support functions, collaborate to define
content requirements of the proposal as well as the organization and appearance.
Develops product definition including price, cost and performance objectives, reliability and functional features, manufacturability, and life cycle
forecasts. Identifies and selects sales channels to distribute products to targeted markets / customers. Develops new production introduction plan.
Develops and conducts product, market and application training. Ensures
successful transition to manufacturing. Supports sales through joint sales calls. Conducts product review meetings.

| Req. candidate profile : |
Bachelors in Business, Marketing or related discipline or equivalent experience, plus 3-5 years of product line/marketing experience in Satellite (SATCOM) communications industry; Understanding of financial components of Satellite product and marketing management, including product contribution margins, profit and loss statements, budget processes, and return on investment calculations; Analytical and problem solving skills, and ability to articulate complex concepts to a broad range of internal and external audiences; Proven ability to effectively communicate with several types and levels of staff and external contacts, both in writing and verbally; Must have effective presentation skills; Ability to work simultaneously on many priorities, which change frequently; Assertive, persuasive and creative problem-solving skills; Demonstrated ability to lead and organize cross-functional meetings and committees; and
Proficient use of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and E-mail
software.
