Job description: Come to the East Valley Family YMCA and be apart of creating programs to help promote healthy habits for members of all ages. Under the direct supervision of the Associate Executive Director, the Program Director is responsible for the operation and supervision of the East Valley YMCA Group Exercise Department which includes but is not limited to: Group Exercise, Physibility, Reiki and Adult Massage, Youth Fitness, Tae Kwon Do and Kids Zone.


General Administrative Duties include:

Hiring and supervision of full and part time program staff, program volunteers, management of over $350,000 budget, promotion and marketing, program development and quality control, and financial development through our Community Support Campaign.
Req. candidate profile : Additional Qualifications:

This position requires a commitment to the YMCA mission and its core values of: honesty, respect, responsibility and caring as well as a commitment to building developmental assets in adults and youth. Additionally, this candidate should value diversity, youth, teens and have a broad vision of health and wellness, which is enhanced by relationship building.

This position requires a minimum of 3+ years experience in health & fitness industry, an ability to teach multiple group exercise classes and one year management experience. Person must have the ability to model and identify high quality group exercise activities and enforce safety regulations. Individual must have experience in staff supervision, fiscal management, and program development. Person must have the physical ability to lead and interact in group activities and perform related physical skills. Person must be team oriented. Current First Aid and CPR certifications are required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
