The mission of The Tank is to provide a welcoming, creative, collaborative, and affordable environment for artists and activists engaged in the pursuit of new ideas. Through a wide range of low-cost, high-concept arts and public affairs programming, The Tank seeks to cultivate a new generation of audience for live performance, civic discourse, and the work of emerging artists.
Responsibilities:
The part-time (12 hours/week) External Affairs Coordinator will be responsible for implementing a marketing and public relations campaign. The ideal candidate will supervise interns who are available to design and distribute basic email blasts, monthly mailers, and program postcards. On an event-specific basis, the External Affairs Coordinator also contacts media outlets to purchase advertising space. The External Affairs Coordinator will also be available to assist the membership department with those cultivation efforts.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have familiarity with arts administration, and specific experience with drafting and distributing press releases to media outlets; designing marketing materials (including post-cards/posters to be distributed to local businesses and organizations, season brochures, and print ads); and developing and overseeing marketing campaigns. The candidate will be available 3 times a week to oversee the marketing efforts of The Tank and to instruct the interns.
