The project coordinator is responsible for the successful coordination and administration of The Leadership Program’s After School Project. The coordinator works with all after school personnel to ensure that school and trainer needs are satisfied and the grant requirements are fulfilled. The coordinator also continually seeks ways to expand and improve the project.
Principal Responsibilities:
Work closely with Project Manager in the implementation and organization of the project.
Work with support staff to implement program into schools
Maintain contact with trainers: coordinating schedules, planning meetings, keeping up with school progress, etc.
Oversee day-to-day project operations, including scheduling and curriculum issues, project support, etc.
Perform observations of programs and trainers to ensure quality.
Work with support staff to maintain contact and foster relationships with schools
Plans and coordinates staff meetings
Work with staff to create and implement improvements to the After School Project
Improve and maintain marketing materials
Assist in the development of project curriculum
Create and coordinate publication of semi-annual newsletter
Supervise the development of project work of trainers in schools
Continually seek to improve self, program, and company
Req. candidate profile :
Knowledge and Experience:
Minimum of two years experience in education.
Classroom teaching experience a bonus
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
Excellent people skills
Excellent organizational skills
Proficiency with personal computers, including Microsoft Word and Excel a must
