The Arthritis Foundation, New York Chapter has an immediate opening for a Director of Community Development whose major job functions are to implement Arthritis Walk events and to help develop and implement a new special event within the boroughs of New York City.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Increases net income and awareness for the Arthritis Foundation by planning, marketing and successfully implementing Arthritis Walk events within the boroughs of New York City.
Increases net income and awareness for the Arthritis Foundation by developing and successfully managing a marketing plan to establish a new special event based in New York City.
Provides leadership as a core member of the Chapter’s development staff team.
Req. candidate profile :
REQUIREMENTS:
College graduate with minimum of five years of successful fundraising, marketing and/or non-profit management experience.
Experience conducting large-scale walks or similar special events a must.
Valid driver’s license and access to an insured automobile.
SKILLS:
Ability to organize, prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines and accomplish goals.
Ability to work well with peers, volunteers and the general public.
Ability to supervise staff.
Superior oral and writing communication skills.
Computer proficient in current Microsoft Office Suite Pro products with particular strengths in Access.
