Job description
Job description: Change to Win is seeking a Program Coordinator for its Strategic Organizing Center. Change to Win is a strong and dynamic federation of 7of North America’s fastest growing and most diverse labor unions. The Strategic Organizing Center works with affiliates to develop and implement large scale organizing campaigns.

  • Provide coordination and support to Campaign Directors in the Strategic Organizing Center, which includes: conduct needs assessment for both headquarters staff as well as field campaigns; develop and implement plan to provide necessary support to campaigns; provide coordination among campaigns; provide support on hiring and staffing; and other duties as needed;
  • Assist Director of Center in monitoring budget on a regular basis, including reviewing expense reports and appropriation requests;
  • Assist Director of Center in planning staff meetings, including developing and implementing meeting agendas;
  • Work with Director of Center on developing optimal space and logistics plan;
  • Responsible for coordinating monthly meetings with affiliate Organizing Directors, including drafting reports, memoranda and correspondence as needed;
  • Assist Director of Center on developing and implementing special projects including developing and implementing project timetables to assure goals are met and serving as point of contact for staff; and
  • Provide research on special projects.
Req. candidate profile :
  • B.A. degree and 1-3 years of related experience or at least 6 years of related work experience or combination of education and experience that would provide the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
  • Excellent organizational abilities;
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage several priorities in a day;
  • Knowledge of union organizing campaigns; experience in conducting corporate research a plus;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines and work well with minimal supervision;
  • Ability to handle confidential information;
  • A strong commitment to the goals and values of the labor movement is required.
