The Senior Program Manager will be responsible for providing day-to-day supervision and ensuring implementation of contractual and programmatic goals. The Senior Manager will supervise a staff up to 3 Program Mangers and oversee the supervision of 5 -10 In-Step Site Coordinators.
Planning, organizing, administering reviews and evaluating the work of OSY, ISY and SYEP Program Managers through subordinate levels of direct supervision while providing ongoing staff development;
Evaluates program and service delivery; makes recommendations for improvement and ensures maximum effective and efficient service delivery;
Monitors day-to-day operations to ensure the OSY, ISY and SYEP programs are meeting funder’s goals and objectives, ensures PAL’s policies and procedures are fully implemented and takes corrective action when appropriate;
Handles administrative responsibilities for the department, including conferring with and representing the department in meetings with government agencies and the public; overseeing preparation of periodic and special reports, and preparing and delivering presentations;
Attends meetings to ensure programmatic needs and concerns are accurately represented;
Maintains and directs the maintenance of working and official departmental files;
Managing multiple tasks, often with competing priorities;
Providing leadership and motivating staff;
Developing budgets, monitoring monthly expenditures and allocating resources;
Preparing clear, concise and informative reports, correspondence and other written materials;
Handling difficult and sensitive situations using sound, independent judgment within general policy and legal guidelines; and
Performs other duties as necessary.
Req. candidate profile :
A Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business or public administration; and
A minimum of five years professional paid work experience in a non-profit youth development organization or social service agency in an administrative or managerial capacity.
