The Chicago Urban League is an affiliate of the National Urban League, the nation’s oldest and largest community-based movement devoted to empowering African-Americans to enter the economic and social mainstream.
Responsible for the implementation of the Youth Investor Project and Youth Entrepreneur Project which provides high school youth with quality instruction on sound financial practices, financial markets and investing, and small business plan development.
Provide instruction on financial education instruction including: basic banking, investment strategies, financial management, and business plan development.
Assist with the development and implement marketing plans and participant recruitment campaigns
Initiate program procedures, quality control and evaluation tools
Manage and evaluate program operations and outcomes; prepares reports for the Financial Education Managers.
Maintain all program records and prepare and submit internal reports
Assist financial education manager with the development of youth financial education budgets including
Coordinate youth program and project operations with other Education Department initiatives.
Attend internal and external meetings when required.
Perform other duties as required
Req. candidate profile :
The successful candidate will have Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university; significant work experience can substitute for the degree.
Strong background in finance, economics, and/or entrepreneurship teaching experience.
Experience and knowledge in youth development program instruction.
Excellent communication skills, including writing, proof reading and speaking skills.
Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills
Excellent written and oral and interpersonal communication skills
