The Gaia Institute is seeking a hydrologist to assist with gathering, analyzing, and reporting data relating to storm water management, combined sewer overflow (CSO), soil and ecological restoration projects.
Responsibilities will also include interpreting and managing geospatial data and construction drawings.
Other responsibilities include assisting with environmental education and outreach programs, researching related areas of interest,monitoring and delineating Low Impact Development (LID) Best Management Practices (BMPs) such as green roofs, mollusk habitat restoration, and enhanced tree pits. Contributions to the development of waste-into-resources technologies will also be encouraged.
Req. candidate profile :
A systems-thinking approach to addressing project tasks
B.S or M.S. degree in Hydrology,Ecology, or EnvironmentalEngineering with a focus on WaterResources
0-3 years of work experience
Proficiency with ArcGIS and AutoCAD
Candidate must be a self-starter, yet able to maintain lines of communication
