Full time opportunity for a Welding Training Representative. Location is flexible. Travel will be required across Canada.
Position Summary:
The Training Representative is responsible to the General Manager for the promotion and presentation of seminars and client training courses involving hands on skills upgrade and theory training relating to the programs offered
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The incumbent is responsible for:
• Presentation of welding supervisor seminars, and Block materials in a variety of settings and the hands on skills upgrading and theory training of tack welders, welders, and welding operators .
• Promotion of products and services. This includes the follow-up on the seminar evaluation forms, client requests, sales leads, the preparation of quotations for training and follow-up calls.
• Creation of training material. This involves the updating of welding supervisor seminar materials and study guides, the creation of material for new seminar and small manuals as parts of training packages to be presented.
Req. candidate profile :
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Education: 2 or 3 year Community College Welding Technician / Technologist Program or 5 years of Practical Welding Experience
• Welding Skills - first hand experience with SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW
• Welding Inspection experience, Level 2 Welding Inspector would be an asset.
