Risk Officer is accountable for providing operational risk management guidance on a daily basis.
This is performed by executing the Bank's Operational Risk Management methodology across the lines of business, and working closely with owners of business processes, risks and controls.
Works closely with peers in the Internal Audit, Compliance and Financial Control Departments.
Partners with Group Heads to ensure that risks inherent to the business are remediated to the tolerance levels acceptable by senior management and the Board of Directors.
Guides the identification of key metrics and monitors their performance levels.
Keeps abreast of internal and external factors that [may] cause actual or potential operational risk to the Bank.
Responsible for ensuring risk assessments are prepared across the Bank, satisfying the Bank's regulatory requirements.
Active member of the Operational Risk Committee.
Req. candidate profile :
College degree in business administration or related field.
7 - 10+ years experience in any combination of the following areas: risk management, audit, compliance, and related administrative functions.
Experience in the project management a plus.
Must possess excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills and be able to effectively work with all levels of Bank management.
