Job description: Isles, Inc., is a nationally recognized nonprofit community development and environmental organization with the mission to foster more self-reliant families in healthy, sustainable communities

The Project Manager will establish and supervise the Regional Housing Opportunity Center.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Setting up an appropriate office for the Regional Housing Opportunity Center.
  • Hiring a housing counselor.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of the Regional Housing Opportunity Center’s Opportunity Housing program.
  • Help 25 South Jersey families move to higher opportunity towns during the first year.
  • Develop relationships with key area organizations in target area to support program including; landlords, local groups, neighbors, faith institutions, property management companies, schools, health and human services agencies and businesses.
  • Work with partners to develop Regional Housing Opportunity Center’s marketing plan.
  • Customize “Efforts to Outcomes” (ETO) database to track participants progress.
  • Become familiar with high opportunity housing locations and develop high opportunity database.
  • Preparation of grant applications and reports.
  • Work to educate the public on the importance of housing choice.
Req. candidate profile :
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Masters degree in a related field is desirable.
  • 2 years of work experience in community development or related field
  • Experience working with diverse communities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders and facilitate collaborative processes.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Power Point.
  • Excellent organizational, strategic and development skills.
  • Solid organizing and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to foster a spirit of community, cooperation and sense of shared-mission.
  • Good listening skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Valid drivers license.
