At Triple Canopy, we integrate analysis, planning, protection, training and fundamentals such as communications, logistics, medical and life support services to help you create and sustain a secure operational environment.
- Provides overall management and reporting of corporate purchasing operations supporting program management, field operations and corporate staff.
- Supports all Triple Canopy employees worldwide. Supervises a direct staff of two and controls all purchasing actions at project and program levels.
- Must be prepared to attend weekly meetings and communicate effectively with Senior Manager of Logistics and subordinates.
- Must be willing to deploy to high threat environments world-wide, wear body armor and equipment weighing up to 40lbs for extended periods, and operate in a tactical setting as required.
- Execute solid purchasing management strategies in accordance with the FAR
- Develop sound purchasing procedures that are customer focused
- Must lead a small team in purchasing a wide variety of equipment and supplies
- Ensure customers are fully supported and kept informed of purchasing status
- Conduct monthly and yearly inspections of the purchasing process as required
- Develop and supervise monthly and yearly purchasing inspections to ensure compliance
- Management of a staff with both experienced and in-experienced personnel is required
- Will be required to execute international travel requirements with little to no advance warning, and must be willing to support these rapid deployment trips as required
- Must recruit, train, develop and lead a team of procurement management personnel and manage international purchasing requirements

| Req. candidate profile : |
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 12 years experience in government purchasing
- Must possess extremely good judgment and independent decision making abilities
- Must be self motivated, proactive, and aggressive to work through critical issues
- Experience working in a private, disciplined, and military style organization preferred
- Must have experience with military equipment and purchasing procedures
- Capable of developing and writing detailed purchasing procedures in relation to specific contract requirements
- Must be extremely flexible and able to successfully manage simultaneous tasks
- Experience with overseas (especially Middle East) purchasing preferred
- Proficiency on Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Knowledge of DELTEK and CostPoint software a "MUST"
- Purchasing Certification through a recognized society (e.g. American Purchasing Society, etc.) required
- International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) certification required
- Export Control Certification required
Valued Non-Essential Skills and Experience
- Certified Professional Property Manager (CPPM) certification highly desired
