1.Analyze, document, plan, develop and implement business process automation solutions:
·Gather, analyze and document business requirements through formal reviews and interviews.
· Plan and identify gaps in systems and oversee implementation of changes to existing systems or new applications.
·Work closely with external consultants to coordinate internal activities and requirements.
·Create project time lines and manage the projects to meet the time lines.
2.Presentation and Training:
·Manage the rollout of new systems and enhancements to systems, train users and provide on-going support.
·Train staff at all levels to operate and understand applicable applications and business processes.
· Ensure manuals and communication materials are available to users to support the applications.
3.Evaluate software applications:
· Perform workflow analysis and develop business models that facilitate evaluation of software applications to improve business processes.
· Work with staff to review existing systems and document client requirements.
· Research and investigate alternative solutions for improvements to existing business processes and systems.
4. Other:
· In the absence of Information Services Department staff, the incumbent will perform backup duties as required.
· Provide technical assistance and telephone support as required.
· Other duties as designated by the Manager, Information Services.
Req. candidate profile :
QUALIFICATIONS:
· University degree in Computer Science or Business with a minimum of five years experience working with business process solutions. A comparable combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
· Advanced knowledge of ACCPAC database technology, Microsoft Office, 4GL Application development environment or equivalent, Internet development applications and Telecommunication technologies.
· Knowledge and experience of database engines such as Pervasive Btrieve and Microsoft SQL.
· Experience in business redesign, organizational and workflow analysis, business process re-engineering and change management.
· Experience in project management.
· Experience preparing application rollout presentation materials and user documentation.
· Ability to prepare and present business automation proposals and solutions to senior management.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Experience training users in a classroom environment, one-on-one and through remote access tools.
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
· Able to work both independently under minimal supervision and be able to work well with others in a team-oriented environment.
