Due to our continued growth and customer demand we are currently recruiting for a qualified, interested and available Senior Principal Software Engineer for an opportunity located in Richardson, TX.

TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Technically responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating assignments. Plans and develops engineering projects with unique or controversial problems which impact major company programs. Involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope and selection of problems for investigation, novel concepts and approaches. Maintains liaison with individuals and units within or outside organization with responsibility for acting independently on technical matters. Performs design, development, testing, documentation, and analysis of software applications. Assignments include development of new programs and subprograms, as well as enhancements, modifications, and corrections to existing software. Duties include designing application, writing code, completing programming, developing and executing testing and debugging routines, and documenting work and results.

Provides strategic technical direction to the company;
Supervision received is administrative with assignments given in terms of general objectives and limits; Evaluates progress and results obtained; Recommends major changes to achieve objectives; and Involved in developing less senior professionals by being a mentor.

Sustained history of bringing technical innovation to the company and its products. Gains recognition within industry as evidenced by publications, patents, etc.
COMMUNICATION
Interacts with management and senior customer personnel on matters requiring coordination across organizational lines.
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
Master’s degree in engineering
Ten (10) plus years of work experience embedded firmware development, in control theory, digital signal processing, and communications theory;
Must possess excellent oral, written and presentational skills;
Capable of positively mentoring and guiding less experienced talent;
Proven track record of contacting, influencing and negotiating with both internal and external individuals on complex issues; and
Must be able to respond to inquiries and complaints of a highly complex nature with tact and diplomacy.
