Due to our continued growth and customer demand we are currently recruiting for a qualified, interested and available Senior Software Engineer for an opportunity located in Richardson, TX. KNOWLEDGE Fully competent in the subject matter or functional areas of assignment. Employs a broad application of principles, theories and concepts in applicable discipline, plus working knowledge of other fields. Sufficiently understands customer requirements and delivers results that meet customer needs. PROBLEM COMPLEXITY Provides innovative resolutions to a diverse range of complex problems. TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection and adaptation or modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria. Devises new approaches to problems. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of various factors. Acts as a key contributor and/or technical leader within a project team. May direct or coordinate work of drafters, technicians and other non-exempt personnel. Performs design, development, testing, documentation, and analysis of software applications. Assignments include development of new programs and subprograms, as well as enhancements, modifications, and corrections to existing software. Duties include designing application, writing code, completing programming, developing and executing testing and debugging routines, and documenting work and results. FREEDOM TO ACT WITHIN TECHNICAL DISCIPLINE Independently determines and develops approaches to solutions; Work is reviewed at appropriate milestones to ensure that overall objectives are being met; and Receives technical guidance on complex problems and supervisory approval for projects. IMPACT Work significantly impacts achievement of business unit goals. Has demonstrated track record of successfully completed assignments. Represents the business unit on projects. COMMUNICATION Is capable and willing to have effective customer and supplier interactions and/or frequent inter-organization contacts. TYPICAL EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION BSEE or BSCS; actively pursuing an advanced degree; Seven (7) to nine (9) years of work experience in Window’s software development. Candidate should have thorough knowledge of Microsoft development tools, including Visual Studio, .NET, and Visual C++. Must possess good oral/written communication skills; requires the ability to regularly contact, influence and negotiate with both internal and external individuals on complex issues; and must be able to respond to inquiries and complaints with tact and diplomacy.
