Job description: A Fortune 100 company, we are seeking a Financial Systems Analyst with Investment Accounting experience to join our team. The Financial Systems Analyst will install, configure, operate and maintain systems and associated programs that support investment operations, controls, data flows and reporting.

Other duties include but are not limited to: systems supporting Accounting, Fixed Income Securities, High Yield Securities, Non-traditional Securities, Portfolio Analytics, Oil & Gas and Risk Management; coordinates activities with respect to systems in area of responsibility with regulators, accountants, custodians, software vendors, the Financial and Information Services departments, senior Investment management, and the Investment Committee of the Board of Directors.
Job duties: Qualifications: BS/BA; 3 + years professional auditing/accounting experience (not fund accounting), CPA a plus; Investment accounting experience a plus in an insurance company (not fund accounting or financial services); Systems exposure a plus; Investment related experience a plus; Auditing of insurance companies a plus. Investment Accounting; Financial Services experience a must; Candidate must have Production Support Experience and be comfortable with SQL. We are looking for more of an accounting background than systems. Detailed knowledge of Data Processing concepts, facilities, technology, and design approaches, project management as well as communications technologies applicable to the financial services world, and to the investment community are particularly valuable. Needs broad knowledge of investment concepts, company operations, and sensitivity to the unique regulatory environment of Property & Casualty investment operations. Must have a thorough knowledge of Department responsibilities, goals and operating standards as well as a sound understanding of the operating procedures and constraints of the IS, financial and other user departments (both Investment & corporate) and vendors with which the unit interacts. Strong written and oral communication skills (technical and non-technical); Strong project control and organization; Strong interpersonal skills and sufficient initiative to work independently with IS, Investment and vendor personnel.
