| Job description: | KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
• BS in Engineering or technical. • Minimum 3 years experience with nonwoven textile processing in addition to 2-5 years in a supervisory position. • Good PC skills, good verbal and written skills. Must be able to communicate with and lead group activities. • Must be experienced with working with drawings, product formulations, expense budgets, problem solving, and statistical info on a frequent basis. • Good ability in identifying and solving problems. Must be able to lead and train others in problem solving. • Must be physically able to move around all areas and levels of plant and property to include climbing. • Must be able to use tools and measurement devices. • Must be able to work in both an office and plant environment in support of 7-day/24-hour operation so work hours can vary considerably. • Exposure to heat conditions. |
| Job duties: | RESPONSIBILITIES AND SPECIFIC DUTIES:
• Plans and directs production, maintenance and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment. • Reviews and analyzes production, quality control, maintenance, and operation reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications, and operating or production problems. • Develops and implements standard operating methods and procedures including safety practices designed to eliminate operating problems, improve product quality, and minimize employee health and safety issues. • Performs regular training on standard operating methods and procedures to optimize experience level or production and maintenance crews. • Prioritizes maintenance tasks relative to modification/repair of machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality of products. Assists with maintenance activities as needed. • Oversees equipment and machinery reliability program. Serves as back-up to Plant Manager in the event of his/her absence. |
