Job description: Monitoring Station Operator
Vancouver, BC
7 days on – 7 days off

POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Chief Operator, the job tenure treats the signals coming from the client’s security systems. It is a grave-yard shift with 35 hours a week.
Job duties: ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Treat alarm signals transmitted to the monitoring station by applying established procedures
· Dispatch alarm signals to established emergency services
· Document the alarm signals treatment into client’s file
· Dispatch calls to the patrol and make follow-up
· Follow-up on processed signals by situation
· Receive and direct client’s calls to the concerned department
· Periodically verify monitoring station equipments for mal-function
· Note anomalies in client’s file and transmit corrections to the person in charge
· Inform clients on prevention methods
· Other affiliated duties related to the job or upon immediate superior’s request
Req. candidate profile : QUALIFICATIONS
· High School Diploma
· 1-2 years in customer service
· Bilingualism an asset

SPECIFIC SKILL REQUIREMENTS
· Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, SBN
· Strong interpersonal, communication, tact and diplomacy skills
· Excellent customer service skills
· Ability to manage stressful situations, and work effectively in a team environment
· Ability to work in a busy fast paced, multi-tasked environment
