Job description: POSITION SUMMARY:
Develop and manage new marketing projects to support Unitrin Directs growth. Assist senior marketing personnel with ongoing management and improvement of customer acquisition programs and processes.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Assist other managers in the execution and management of marketing campaigns. Manage the implementation, training, and tracking for new campaigns.
2. Investigate, source, and test new acquisition channels to create new cost efficient avenues for policy acquisition.
3. Use analytical skills to identify key business drivers and recommend actions to improve them (e.g., customer acquisition and retention; expense reduction; optimize campaign execution).
4. Manage key acquisition channels and existing customer retention programs as tasked by the VP of Marketing.
5. Work closely with the Director and VP of Marketing to determine optimal allocation of acquisition resources across existing and new marketing channels.
6. Work with other Unitrin Direct departments to ensure our advertising and marketing efforts are feasible, viable and fit within the overall framework of the companys goals and objectives. In particular:
a. Liaison regularly with the Product group, and adjust marketing strategies to account for pricing changes and state loss results.
b. Work with the call center management to improve efficiency of the phone sales process.
c. Develop and test new sales approaches to increase conversion rates.
d. Maintain and prioritize ongoing IT projects for the marketing department.
7. Formulate marketing strategy recommendations to drive the companys growth. This includes, but is not limited to: identifying and testing new marketing methods.
8. Perform administrative tasks to support channels under management, including invoice review and approval, problem resolution, and other day-to-day matters.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Communicates via electronic mail acknowledging and sending correspondence in a professional, timely manner.
2. Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/SKILL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Requires a bachelors degree or equivalent with a minimum of two years of marketing and project management experience. MBA preferred. Requires acute attention to detail and excellent project management skills. Strong mathematical/analytical skills are necessary. Requires good verbal, written, interpersonal, and organizational skills with a team-oriented approach. Basic computer skills in Excel, Word, Project, Power Point, and Outlook are essential.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Position requires extensive use of keyboard involving repetitive motions with fingers, sitting for prolonged periods of time, and extensive use of the telephone and face-to-face communication that requires accurate perception of speech as well as talking and hearing. The position frequently requires the ability to visit employee workstations and other work areas. The position requires close vision, distant vision, and the ability to adjust focus. There is moderate noise in the work environment.
