| Job duties: |
In this position you will assist various unit managers in the planning, development and implementation of both technology-based and process-based business solutions.
Additionally your responsibilities will include:
Create conceptual and functional designs for new and enhanced systems in coordination with technology analysts, external vendors and consultants.
Coordinate user review and approval at all stages of system development and delivery.
Assist in managing system implementation, tracking the timing of deliverables, and developing conversion and migration plans for moving from existing systems to enhanced or more effective new systems.
Identify opportunities to utilize existing, enhanced or new technologies or business methods to streamline work processes and improve business margins within individual business units.
Maintain awareness of systems, products and expertise available both within firm and elsewhere to use in addressing business unit needs.
Develop and maintain a functional expertise in the various insurance businesses and anticipates business and system needs based upon changing industry conditions.
Handle moderately complex new projects and moderately complex system enhancements for firm’s various business units.

| Req. candidate profile : |
REQUIREMENTS:
• Must possess very strong understanding of technology and ability to assess a client’s environment.
• Must have experience with OO methodology concepts, RUP, UML and Rational Rose.
• Experience in prevalent applications development and database technologies.
• Solid knowledge of structured analysis techniques and system development lifecycles.
• Working knowledge of project life cycle methodology and prevalent project planning tools.
• Experience working on large-scale integrations into diverse legacy and web based systems is a plus.
• Experience in communication and presenting to clients in mid to large sized companies.
• Ability to meet customer needs via creative problem solving.
• Some Project Management experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
