The Atchison Juvenile Correctional Facility is a 24-hour, residential minimum security facility for young men who are sent to the facility after being placed in the custody of the Commissioner of the Juvenile Justice Authority by the Kansas District Courts. In addition to the full-time staff, the AJCF encourages volunteer activities, utilizing resources from the community.

Job duties:
This position is responsible for the safety and security of juvenile males placed in JJA custody and for managing a living unit to ensure that it is being ran in complinace with agency policy and procedure.
Req. candidate profile :
Applicants must be 21 years old, have a HS diploma/GED equivalency, have one year of experience in the care, control and treatment of offenders (education in criminal justice or the behavioral sciences may be substituted for the experience - please provide transcripts) and have completed the JJA BTA for JCO's or a corrections/law enforcement training program (transcript required), must be free of felony convictions, free of A and/or B misdemeanor convictions for the past five years, be free of misemeanor convictions involving domestic battery after July 1, 1971, be able to pass a drug screen, background security check and physical agility test.
