Casino Careers Online has a client seeking a candidate for a Facilities Project Manager position.
The position description is as follows:
Description
Assists the Facilities Director in coordinating projects, meetings, and preparation of statistical data.
Devises and implements all projects and assignments as directed by the Facilities Director.
Assists the Facilities Director with planning, and budgeting of the facilities modifications including cost estimates, bid sheets, and service contracts.
Coordinates work between the various trades as it relates to the facilities projects that are in process.
Liaisons with outside contractors to meet the needs of of the Casino; ensures that all work is completed to design specifications.
Assists the Facilities Director with the capital asset budget and projects requiring purchase of any major equipment and major remodeling of the facilities.
Represents the Casino in establishing business relationships with contractors, vendors, service providers and other agencies.
Ensures compliance with all safety standards and building codes. Assists in the execution of the emergency (fire and/or bomb) command station when necessary.
Prepares written and oral reports as required by the Facilities Director.
Maintain superior customer service to all internal and external customers.
Other duties as directed. Hours are determined by a twenty-four hour schedule and subject to change.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Business Management, Industrial Hygiene or related field and/or 3-5 years experience at the management/supervisor level accepted in lieu of a completed educational program.
5 years facility management experience required, preferable in a casino environment.
Extensive knowledge in the various building trades.
Computer skills in administrative duties and project management software.
Skilled in reading blueprints and engineer documents.
Skilled in written and oral communication and possess the ability to conduct meetings.
This position must have, or the ability to acquire within one year, an in-depth knowledge and thorough understanding of Enterprise Policies and Procedures, governmental regulations, and technical rules relevant to their responsibilities.
Ensure confidentiality throughout the department.
Must agree to maintain a Drug-Free Workplace.
Must be able to work in a smoking environment.
All gaming facility employees must be certified/licensed. The certification process includes a full background check.
