Job description: Casino Careers Online has a client seeking a candidate for a Director of Security position.

The position description is as follows:

The Director of Security oversees all security and safety operations, ensures compliance with all standard security operating procedures and emergency response plans. And is responsible for the supervision, hiring, training and development of all security department staff.

Requirements

Duties

Provide security, safety, and protection for guests, employees and property.
Provide management, direction and leadership to security department staff.
Supervise, perform and respond to routine or emergency duties requiring moderate to strenuous physical exertion.
Communicates with appropriate property management, reporting any incidents or problems.
Recommends and implements changes to security policy or operating procedures.
Oversees and monitors key controls.
Responsible for administering and ensuring compliance with required training and monitoring on-the-job training .
Directs and coordinates the actions of security personnel and other involved employees during emergencies.
Reviews the actions, incident reports and performance of personnel assigned to their supervision.
Ensures personnel assigned follow and equally and fairly enforce approved procedures and policy.
Oversees and performs security investigations as necessary.
Provides coordination between property, police, fire and medical personnel.
Approves detention of all suspects made by personnel under their supervision.
Ensures that all reports and legal paperwork are properly prepared and filed by all security department staff.
Develops and monitors subordinates interpersonal skills with guests and other employees.
Ensures personnel do not loiter, that all emergency equipment functions properly, and all personnel adhere to proper radio discipline.
Monitors and enforces professional attitudes, dress and compliance with rules and regulations.
Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years experience in security, police or military in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
Knowledge of security and safety procedures and regulations.
Bachelors Degree in criminal justice, business and/or management preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience also considered.
