Position Specific Requirements:
Engineering Technician with experience running melt extrusion system.
Assist lead engineer with running prototype extrusions.
Set up and breakdown of extruder to include cleaning of dies, mandrels, melt pump, extruder barrel, and water tank, etc.
Providing periodic samples of water and tubing for bioburden and pyrogen testing.
Setting up and managing production runs.
Measurement of tubing as part of first article testing, lot qualification and other testing as needed.
General upkeep and maintenance of extrusion area.
Other duties as requested.
Qualifications:
High school or technical high school diploma; Associates degree in technical discipline desired. Willingness and ability to learn other processes related to the design and development of endovascular medical devices, in particular balloon blow molding.
