Since 1895, Swarovski, the Austrian based, family owned company has been a worldwide leader in fine crystal components, collectibles, and fashion jewelry.
Swarovski is currently seeking an experienced Payables Manager to manage the payroll and accounts payable functions within the organization to ensure effective utilization of resources, minimization of costs, accuracy of data and system of accounting records.
- Manages all of the payroll functions for all legal entities and ADP Company Codes in the following areas:
- Ensures time sheets are signed off by appropriate supervisors.
- Develops and monitors financial controls for all related payroll transactions and reporting requirements.
- Ensures that all payroll related tax filings and reports are accurately prepared and submitted by third party payroll processor.
- Manages vacation accruals, entitlements and requests (internally and externally) for all hourly, salaried nonexempt and exempt employees.
- Develops necessary payroll reports through the use of the third party processor's report writer application.
- Verifies all third party processor's invoices to ensure that costs are accurate and justified.
- Manages the compilation and preparation of other payroll data such as pension, insurance, and credit union payments. Manages the processing of all payroll deductions.
- Interprets company policies and federal and state government regulations affecting payroll procedures and reporting; ensures Company is in compliance with such regulations.
- Establishes appropriate expense budget for the area.
- Manages the accounts payable functions for all legal entities. Such duties include the following:
- Ensures purchases authorization levels established by management are followed.
- Oversees preparation and accuracy of all 1099 processing.
- Establishes appropriate expense budget for department.
- Close A/P in 3 days for month end reporting requirements.
- Reconcile A/P Aging on a monthly basis to the general ledger, including investigation and resolution of outstanding items.
- Oversees accuracy of data entry of invoices into the accounting system.
- Manages the month-end and year-end close activities associated with the following:
- Payroll journal entries associated with monthly payroll, associated payroll taxes (FUTA, SUTA, TDI and monthly accrual entry associated with hourly and non-exempt salary payroll Company codes.
- Ensures accuracy of the monthly accrual entry needed for accounts payable.
- Headcount reporting by cost center - full-time and part-time employees.
- Validates accounts payable aging agrees to general ledger and prepares appropriate workpaper reconciliation to support findings.

- Manages the function and allocates resources to ensure that objectives are met - within company mission, department mission and procedures/guidelines.
- Develops an annual budget for the payroll and accounts payable areas of the organization (2 departments) and operates within budgetary guidelines.
- Ensures that the department is properly staffed with individuals who have the necessary training and tools. Participates in making employment decisions', including employment, discipline, training, assignment and termination.
- Oversees the work environment to ensure that it is productive and meets company Mission.
- Ensures effective relationships with the direct report, functional matrix reports, communications partners, other departments and customers.
- Ensures that all applicable legal requirements are met.

| Req. candidate profile : |
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university.
- Three to Five years payroll and AP experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles as it applies to processing of payroll and accounts payable is required.
