The position description is as follows: The Convention Sales Manager is responsible for generating occupancy for the company multi-purpose/event room and group business for the property from all aspects of the convention and associated market segments. |
| Job duties: | - Responsible for identifying potential convention groups whose requirements withincompany's capalities.
- Responsible for preparing and submitting customized proposals. - Meeting and negotiating with prospective meeting planners. - Attending meeting planner trade shows to promote the facility. - Attending convention industry meetings. - Manages departments financial data. - Review convention sale activities and promotions with the VP of Marketing. - Meet with the departmental directors and managers as necessary. - Maintains excellent working relationships with local CVBs. - Other duties as assigned. |
