This postion will supervise and manage the accounting and billing functions for the Industrial Refrigeration Solutions business unit. This person will perform day-to-day accounting duties, ensure the month-end closing process runs smoothly and provide accurate and timely financial data to management in accordance with GAAP and internal policies. This position will also supervise two billing clerks to ensure all revenue recognition is performed timely and per procedures.
Job duties:
  • Prepare and enter monthly standard and miscellaneous journal entries.
  • Perform and review all assigned account reconciliations. Fully analyze all outstanding accruals and ensure items are being properly recorded.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and year end Corporate reporting package which includes submission of Khalix files and schedules as required. Ensure that these are submitted per the Corporate reporting calendar.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop staff of 2 direct reports responsible for monitoring various aspects of daily invoicing and research, as well as overall quality improvement process with this group.
  • Responsible for the accurate invoicing of $35+ million billings annually, which includes proper sales tax application and revenue recognition.
  • Development of procedures and subsequent testing of Sarbanes Oxley.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Req. candidate profile :
  • Bachelors Degree with a major in the area of Accounting required. A CPA or Master's desgree is desirable but not required.
  • 5+ years experience in a general ledger environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written presentation and communication skills.
  • Outstanding organization skills with a strong attention to details.
  • Some supervisory experience helpful.
