Job description: Casino Careers Online has a client seeking a candidate for a Risk Specialist position.

The position description is as follows:

- Develop and manage safety program for the property; ensure the safety and security of employees and guests;
- Provides information and assistance to Executive Safety Committee and develop policies and procedures for loss prevention and risk control;
- Develop and implement controls for loss time injuries and return to work and light duty programs;
- Maintain an active safety program; strong knowledge of OSHA standards, Hotel Security, InnKeepers Laws, Louisiana Workers Compensation Laws, and Health Department Regulations;
- Responsible for all liability and property claims and review Risk Department activities and claims with Director of Compliance;
- Manage budget for Risk Department and departmental financial data;
- Maintain all records for company insurance, bonds, leases, policies, agreements and process accident and injury reports in a timely manner;
- Perform other incidentals and related duties as required and/or assigned
Job duties: Requirements:

- Four (4) year degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
- Five (5) to seven (7) years experience working with and managing general liability claims.
- Thorough knowledge and experience with OSHA, Workers Compensation and Health Department regulations required.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality relative to claim activities, financial data, policies and procedures.
- Willingness to assume overall responsibility and maintain interpersonal working relationship with all personnel.
- Extensive computer experience including the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Express.
- Strong oral and written communication skills required.
