Lead the Architecture and designs for Radio Frequency systems and circuitry. Experience with the design and development of complex RF circuitry used in high frequency and microwave applications from UHF to 20 GHz, including receivers,antennas, transmitters, T/R modules and frequency synthesizers. Typical designs include: linearizer/driver amplifiers for TWTAs, solid state power amplifiers, MMICs, switch filters, UpConverters, RF communication systems, matching circuit designs, waveguide/ microstrip design, high power transmitter circuit design, low power driver amplifiers, phase shifters and YIG filters. Responsible for oversight of hardware layout, component evaluation, prototype construction and test. Verify and coordinate preparation of test methods, specifications, analysis and test of RF hardware to verify performance characteristics.In addition, develops RF System/Subsystem Architectures consisting of: antennas, transmitters, receivers, low noise amplifiers, high power amplifiers, RF conversion elements and transmission line equipment. Performs link analysis and optimization, including effects of propagation medium and possible interference sources. | Job duties: | Develops and allocates RF system and subsystem functional and performance requirements. Identifies and tracks RF technical performance measurements (TPMs). Performs RF system/subsystem/component trade studies and CAIV analysis. Supports Life Cycle Costs, reliability, availability, and maintainability analysis.Experience with simulating designs using CAD tools (Eagleware, ADS, Microwave Office, HFSS and Sonnet). |
