Job description
Job description: Seeking a Compensation Analyst. Apply today!

Our client is a leading manufacturer of quality, single-use foodservice products with a worldwide reach and a history of success dating back to 1937. Starting with a modest initial product line of plastic key cases, steel tape measures and identification tags, the company progressed to expandable polystyrene, resulting in a line of high-quality insulated foam cups. Other quality products soon followed and, with a strong continuous commitment to excellence, our client now reigns as the undisputed leader in the foodservice markets. Renowned for its vertical integration, the firm takes its products from A to Z; they develop and produce the materials, design and build their own equipment, and create all of the artwork associated with the packaging.

Compensation Analyst
Mason, Michigan
As Compensation Analyst, you will create, review and/or revise job descriptions for the purpose of evaluation, and provide relevant feedback to Senior Human Resource business partners, recruiters and managers. You will “market price” jobs and recommend appropriate salary grades/ranges, and participate in salary surveys on a regular basis. Additionally, you will write and deliver plan documents, manager and employee guidelines, training scripts, presentations, process documentation, and all policies/practices impacting compensation. Our client will look to you to research best practices for various types of pay, including rewards, retention, variable or incentive pay, shift differentials, etc. Finally, you will assist in compensation-design projects, administer annual merit/incentive processes, counsel the HR team and managers on issues regarding pay, and offer viable solutions.
Job duties: To qualify, you should hold a Bachelor’s degree and possess at least 3 years of experience in compensation, and be familiar with federal, state, and local laws related to compensation. Outstanding analytical skills, along with attention to detail, are musts. Good written- and verbal-communications skills, and proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word are essential. Importantly, you must be willing to take the initiative in research/learning tasks and have a high respect for confidentiality, quality and accuracy in your work. A valid driver’s license and a favorable status with the DMV are also necessary.

Working with our client, you will enjoy benefits that go well beyond a good paycheck. They offer a generous health and wellness package that includes medical/ dental/vision/prescription coverage, short-term disability, life insurance, a great retirement plan, paid vacations and holidays, tuition reimbursement, and a robust relocation package. Importantly, you’ll enjoy a warm working environment, amiable coworkers and year-round social activities, all of which add up to a great work/life balance.
