Job description: Technical Support Engineer

Job Functions

Responds promptly and professionally to customer issues received via telephone, e-mail, and voice-mail
Documents issues/resolutions and regularly suggests system and process improvements
Researches, resolves, and responds to a variety of customer inquiries
Consults with customer to provide best solutions for complex problems or requests
Utilizes customer relationship management systems and product support databases to research and resolve standing technical support issues
Work with other engineers or developers to help resolve technical issues and problems
Job Requirements

Excellent oral and written communications skills
Experience supporting distributed client-server products
Experience/creativity in troubleshooting software/hardware/process problems
Excellent prioritization skills and technical judgment
Committed to provide “Raving Fan” levels of customer service
Ability to work in a dynamic and collaborative team environment
Ability to work independently and resolve customer issues without detailed supervision
Ability to guide/contribute to support process improvement
Ability to develop and augment SQL scripts and stored procedures
Ability to apply oneself and quickly learn Attenex Patterns
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
5 plus years of software product support experience
3 plus years experience supporting software running on MS Windows platforms and MS SQL Server applications
3 plus years experience supporting software products in a support center environment
Familiarity with Outlook, MS Exchange Server, and Lotus Notes
Experience with Attenex Patterns or electronic document discovery a plus
