Casino Careers Online has a client seeking a candidate for a Junior Graphic Designer - Marketing position.
The position description is as follows:
Provide outstanding guest and associate service while performing assigned duties, including interpreting and conveying information throughout the Resort
Work closely with the Senior Graphic Designer to produce creative and comprehensive layouts and unique designs for use by the Hotel Resort in their marketing and advertising campaigns and for their on-property signage.
Assist with the training and teaching of the Entry-Level Graphic Designers in the use of current and new design/creative principles, as well as in the use of specific design tools and trade requirements and expectations. Assist in the development of their knowledge, abilities and skills.
Use the Macintosh platform computers to design and create company’s advertising and collateral pieces, as necessary.
Work with the established job order priority list and coordinate the necessity for multitasking and working on several different projects during the same time frame. Meet the established conceptual constraints, design requirements and material requests without sacrificing quality. Inform the Senior Graphic Designer of problems or difficulties in meeting these requirements.
Perform all other duties as assigned or required in order to meet the responsibilities of the position and for the Resort’s operations.

Requirements
Must be a minimum of twenty-one (21) years of age.
Must have a high school diploma, a General Education Development (GED) certificate or its equivalent.
Must be able to present a portfolio of past professional level creations, designs and original works designed for previous requirements.
Must have a bachelor’s degree in Art, Graphic Design or a related field. An equivalent amount of previous on-the-job experience or industrial training may be substituted in lieu of the formal education requirements for this position.
Must have a minimum of four (4) years of previous directly related experience in the graphic design field. Previous experience with an advertising agency or with some graphic design studio background is preferred.
Must possess a working knowledge in all steps of pre-press and four-color printing procedures.
Must possess exceptional computer skills including: knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Works, Excel and Word) and other tools to support the necessary job functions.
Must possess an expert level of knowledge on the Macintosh computer platform, including the following applications: Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe Illustrator, QuarkXpress and Freehand.
Must possess outstanding communication skills, both written and oral, in contact associates and other department personnel.
Must possess a high degree of originality, initiative, and judgment.
Must have the ability to work independently without direct oversight.
Must possess the required work ethics and a strong desire to be the best by being a results-oriented associate who is committed to achieving established goals and objectives by providing responsibility and accountability.
Must possess and be able to demonstrate exemplary organizational skills.
Must be able to present himself/herself in a professional manner. Must be assertive and self motivated and be able to work independently without direct oversight and management.
Must be willing and able to work nights, weekends, holidays and additional hours as required.
Must be able to sit for extended periods, often in excess of 4 hours at a time.
Must be able to perform functions with each hand and arm in a repetitive motion.
Bending, stooping, climbing, reaching, kneeling, pulling and pushing may be required throughout the assigned shift.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Must be able to stand or walk for periods in excess of two hours at a time, on occasion.
Must be able to safely lift and/or move up to thirty (30) pounds on occasions.
Must be able to work within a smoke filled environment, as required.
Salary Range: Exempt position. Salary range commensurate with experience, knowledge and skill level.
Minimum starting salary - $ 38,000 per year.
