Job description: Casino Careers Online has a client seeking a candidate for an Executive Director of Purchasing position.

The position description is as follows:

Overseeing purchasing for two hotel/resorts, two golf courses, a water theme park, training institute and the home office.
Document and implement the purchasing system and policies and procedures.
Ensuring compliance with documented purchasing policies.
Development of training classes for all users of purchasing.
Recommending and implementing improvements in the purchasing system, purchasing policies and procedures.
Will be required to implement the purchasing system in maintenance, slots, golf course and other operating departments. Will recommend improvements for systems used in the food and beverage departments.
Ensuring that the best possible prices are attained consistent with required quality and quantity specifications and in compliance with approved policies.
Ensuring the policies for purchasing from Tribal related entities, as well as from minority and women owned business, are adhered to.
Job duties: Requirements:

Must be a minimum of twenty-one (21) years of age.
Minimum of two (2) years experience in managing or directing a purchasing related department.
A minimum of five (5) years experience in purchasing environment required.
In depth knowledge of Stratton-Warren Inventory Purchasing system preferred. At a minimum, knowledge of another comprehensive inventory control and purchasing system operating in a high volume environment.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Possess creative problem solving skills, an ability to work with all levels of employees, excellent staff development and project management skills.
Must be able to stand and talk for periods in excess of 4 hours.
Must be able to safely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds on occasions.
