Job description: The Analyst / Senior Analyst – SAP LE / WM position is part of the NA Architectural Coatings SBU SAP IT team. The incumbent engages directly with business users, process owners and management alongside IT team interfaces. This role is responsible for managing SAP business process changes & configuration, and for providing business consultancy, change leadership and second level SAP system support for the SAP ECC Logistics Execution / Warehouse Management modules and related IT application systems.
Job duties: The Senior / Analyst works closely with fellow NA SAP Analysts and interfaces with global SAP Competency Center teams in NA and EMEA for SAP customization guidance, level 3 SAP systems support, and process standardization to ensure the integrity and quality of centralized SAP applications for all Architectural Coatings business units worldwide.

An SAP implementation project is underway to transform and standardize the newly acquired company and the clients base Architectural Coatings business on SAP. The implementation dates are set for May and November of 2014.

Business and Technical Skills

Senior Analysts (SAs) provide SAP consulting support within their functional area of expertise while actively seeking ways to apply SAP technology to business processes. This includes research and identification of enabling functionality based on customer requirements. Incumbents in this position are challenged to develop and maintain credibility and effective working relations with both customer management and IT personnel in a way that demonstrates an understanding of business problems, as well as IT strategies, issues, and priorities. They interact with other IT functional areas to remain apprised of project status; conversely, they also keep the IT group's technology and service managers aware of current or future user issues. Incumbents facilitate development of solutions that combine knowl­edge of particular business processes and issues, technological options, and process facilitation techniques. SAs learn to advise on options, risks, costs versus benefits, and impact on other business processes and system priorities.

Interpersonal

Senior / Analysts may be called upon to broker services within the IT community on behalf of customers. They coordinate solutions and clarify interdependencies so that systems appear seamless to customers. Incumbents must forge relationships with the business as well as maintain rapport with other IT groups. Negotiation, influencing and getting to consensus are key attributes of the successful Analyst.
Req. candidate profile : Education and Experience

A degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Finance, or other business-related field is required; an MBA is highly desired
Strong working knowledge of SAP LE / WM Logistics & Warehouse Management modules and shipping documents as well as basic SAP ECC 6.x
Extensive experience in the configuration and support of SAP LE / WM modules with RF equipment across complex distribution geography
Competency using SAP Solution Manager toolset for managing changes and transports desired
Knowledge of SAP MM, SD & PE modules integration with LE / WM is desirable for end to end business processes understanding across Material receiving, Production Execution, Sales & Distribution, and Shipping Logistics business processes
Previous experience in business process re-engineering or process improvement is desirable, involvingbroad based information systems and utilizing tools and techniques to effect business change
Solid technical knowledge and ability to express complex technical concepts in terms that are understandable to the business
Track record of participation on multidiscipline, high-performance work teams/groups
Strong analytical and conceptual skills
Ability to solve problems spanning multiple environments in a business area
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all manage­ment levels
Demonstrated competency in project management
Strong oral and written communication skills, including technical writing and developing End User Training materials
Strong English speaking & writing skill, with French or Spanish skill desirable
Ability to be comfortable in a nonhierarchical, flat organization and, if required, operate under a dual reporting relationship; ability to thrive in a somewhat unstructured hands­ on environment that demands a consultative approach and solutions that span multiple environments in a business area
