|| The successful candidate will be working in the IT Business Applications Services (BAS) group located in the downtown office as a member of the team which provides functional expertise in supply chain applications globally, including modules (listed below) focused on the Forecast to Plan stream. The team works with business unit IT analysts and end users across the businesses in determining applications solutions, consulting on business requirements, creation of functional designs, delivery of projects, and support for implemented functionality.
Many highly important initiatives are being launched across the client in support of making supply chain excellence a competitive advantage. The position will require some travel (~10-15%), including potential international travel. Successful performance in this assignment will provide excellent preparation for higher level consulting roles within IT or the business.

This individual will act as either a member of or as leading a project team in the analysis, design, configuration or development, and implementation of business applications. In this capacity, he or she must maintain awareness of current IT projects within PPG and planned projects in their own IT group in order to promote application sharing. The analyst will be expected to collaborate with company vendors, customers, staff members, IT colleagues, and other stakeholders to define detailed business requirements and system interfaces, assess available technologies, and develop and present viable solution options. This includes the ability to evaluate application software packages, as well as other alternatives and make recommendations to management.
|Req. candidate profile :
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline,or equivalent work experience and technical training.
An understanding of basic concepts, terminology and practical application of current and emerging technologies.
Functional understanding of the Oracle EBS with a preferred focus on process manufacturing (OPM) and the R12 Value Chain Planning Suite.
Extensive analytical abilities and technical skills to evaluate alternative approaches and to recommend the most feasible and economical solutions.
Understanding of a range of architectures, analytical and design techniques, database technologies, and programming languages.
Proven ability to create functional designs for applications with an nderstanding of underlying appropriate systems architecture, database structures, and communication and network technologies.
Strong and demonstrated project management skills, including defining, organizing, planning, and executing projects from vision through iimplementation.
Demonstrated ability to lead and effectively participate in teams.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in audience appropriate terms.
Ability to work without close supervision, keeping focused on short and long term objectives.
APICS CPIM/CFPIM Certification a definite plus.
