Casino Careers Online has a client seeking a candidate for a Traffic Control Officer position.
The position description is as follows:
SUMMARY:
Directs, controls and routes traffic in casino parking lots.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Directs guests in and out of parking lots safely.
2. Knows all parking lot entrances and exits and provides guests with directions as needed.
3. Know the local highway and freeway systems and provides guests and others with directions as needed.
4. Coordinates shuttle drivers to ensure that guests are provided timely transportation from the various parking lots to the hotel resort entrances.
5. Follows all rules established by Security and Gaming management.
6. Enforces parking regulations set by Gaming Facility management.
7. Advises Security Officers of any suspicious activities occuring in the parking lots.
8. Informs Maintenance or Security Department when guests need assistance in the parking lot, such as jump starts, lock outs, or flat tires.
9. Reports any abandoned vehicles to Security Department.
10. Follows proper radio procedures, as established by the FCC and Security management.
11. Remains alert and aware of their surroundings while directing traffic; uses standard hand signals that do not confuse the guests or other drivers.
12. Practices company guest hospitality standards while performing job duties and responsibilities.
13. Perform all related and compatible duties as assigned.

Requirements:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
One to three months related experience and/or training.
Thorough knowledge of driving/roadway laws and regulations.
Valid California driver's license.
Required to possess and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
Excellent guest relations skills.
The ability to tolerate any type of provocation from guests and to maintain Hotel Resort guest standards at all times.
