| Job description: | This mid-level position requires expertise in roadway/hydraulic design at the local and state level, as well as knowledge of applicable stormwater regulations and documentation requirements. The position will also require expertise in taking engineering projects from start-up through completion, including directing other engineers and CADD technicians. Successful candidates will have at least 7 years of related design experience and a PE license in Washington. Business development and marketing experience is a plus, along with knowledge of local transportation agency guidelines and design standards for civil and hydraulic engineering. Typical duties would include:
Planning, scheduling, conducting/coordinating detailed design phases of engineering work Coordinating complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult construction requirements Coordinating civil/hydraulic design with other engineering disciplines Performing drainage analysis and design of stormwater systems Performing open channel, storm sewer, and detention pond design Conducting hydraulic studies for stormwater treatment and control Utilizing and applying the following software: HY-8 (pipeline hydraulic analysis and culvert design) KCRTS, WWHM and MGS Flood (rainfall/runoff modeling, stormwater facility design) MS Excel HSPF, HEC and SWWMM (desired) |
